Adsense For Newbies
Is there anyone who hasn’t heard of Adsense?
For many of you it might be the reason that you decided to create a website in the first place.
If you haven’t heard of Adsense, it’s Google’s contextual advertising service.
When you see Google ads on websites, that’s Adsense.
Now I won’t go into the fact that I created the first text-link ad program back in 1998, that’s another story.
But I will tell you that Adsense is a billion dollar business and the source of the majority of Googles’ Revenue..
If you don’t have an Adsense account you can get one by applying to Google. Make sure you have a site up with some decent content first.
Now so many Newbies and even intermediate site owners make basic mistakes when it comes to integrating Adsense in their sites.
It’s not rocket science and I’m going to tell you some simple tips to get started.
Adsense Tip #1
Do what others are doing… If you see a site that makes you want to click an ad, ask yourself why?
If you know someone whose making a lot of money with Adsense, just visit some of their sites.. See what ad blocks they are using and what color schemes.
Adsense Tip #2
Blend your ads into your site, don’t try to get crazy with colors..
Adsense Tip #3
Make sure the links are blue.. People click blue links. Keep the text black and the url field gray.
Adsense Tip #4
Now if you want to get serious about Adsense there is one must-have resource, and that’s Joel Comm’s Adsense Secrets.
I work for Joel so I’m biased. But he’s also an Amazon and NY Times Bestselling author.. On what Topic you ask? Adsense.
