5 Simple Steps to Conquer Information Overload

I  recently made fun of Information Overload on April Fool’s Day, but I know to many people, it’s not a laughing matter.

This is one of the reasons why I created my 22 Day Bootcamp.

I wanted to stick to the basics and offer time & money saving tips instead of offering yet another “money making” scheme.

The truth is if you want to conquer information overload you just have to learn a few simple steps and learn to turn some things off, and I may shoot my own self in the foot here, but it’s important.

Step 1 – Reduce your email

Get an Extra Gmail account just for marketing newsletters, optin forms and miscellaneous non-critical email.

Check this extra account 1-2 times per week.    Unsubscribe from any lists that you don’t feel provide immense value to your business.

10 Best Places To Outsource Your Projects

Do you know what the biggest problem most Newbie Marketers have?

They think they can AND must do everything themselves.   They think they have to learn HTML, graphic design, list building, PPC, programming, SEO, customer service, and a whole lot more.

pic-ibmThere’s a reason Rich Schefren’s Internet Business Manifesto became one of the most downloaded business pdf’s in history… it explained this exact problem and overcome it.   I highly recommend you download this pdf.

“Coincidentally, I actually made this ecover for Rich.”

The reason people fail is because they try to do it all themselves and don’t hire employees, or outsource work they shouldn’t be doing.

So in this post I want to show you 10 places you can find help building your online business.

OUTSOURCING RESOURCES

  1. Elance
  2. Scriptlance
  3. RentACoder
  4. Odesk
  5. Guru
  6. GetAFreelancer
  7. 99 Designs
  8. Design Outpost
  9. Search.Twitter.com
  10. Craigs List

Whether you need to have a book ghostwritten, articles created, sites coded, software installed, or someone to pick up your dry cleaning.

You can find those people online.

Does it really make sense for you to spent 10 hours trying to make a graphic when you could pay someone $10 to do it for you?

No..

So next time you’re struggling with a task, hire someone to help you.

Here are a few tips to help you along the way.

  • Never hire anyone who doesn’t have at least five positive reviews.
  • Always see samples of their work.
  • Always give them an incentive to finish the job on time.  If they agreed to do a job for $30.  Tell them you’ll pay them $40 if it’s done before your deadline.    They will work harder for you.

By the way Twitter is fast becoming one of the best ways to find help online.  Why not follow 100 Virtual assistants and next time you need a job done? .. simply Tweet the task.

And watch what happens next..

Check Your Hard Drive ASAP!

I didn’t mean to alarm you with the subject line, just catch your attention.

However, I really do want you to check your hard drive as soon as possible.

Why?

Because so many of you buy loads of ebooks, resale rights product, PLR content, video, audio files etc.   You save it in a folder thinking you’ll get to it and yada, yada, yada..  you forget.

I guarantee you there are hidden gems in all that material that can boost your traffic and income.

There are potential ebooks, audios, and video products you can create in those PLR files.

There are bonuses you can add to your salespages with the Resale Rights materials

When I read an ebook or listen to audio files, I like to create an action list with all the best tips from them. I then change the file name on my computer and add the extension -READ to the file name.

This assures me I can the the maximum value from the products I purchased.  And, I don’t waste time re-reading them.

So do me a favor.. Check your hard drive and commit to reading those ebooks you’ve spent your hard earned money on. Burn those Audio files and listen to them on your way to work or while your exercising.

Make an action list and implement what you learn.

It can change your business.
