Easy way to get a #1 listing in Google

Do you want to know the easiest way to get a #1 listing in Google?

Forgive me if this sounds incredibly simple but it really is.. and why more of you don’t do it.. I have no idea..

Here’s the secret..

Next time you have trouble finding the answer to a question in Google right away.

“BLOG ABOUT IT!”

It’s really simple. Let’s say you’re trying to find out the air speed of an unladen African swallow and you’re not having much success.

(yes, it’s a Monty Python joke)

But you do find it eventually.

Why not just write a post titled…

“What is the Airspeed of an unladen African Swallow?”

Provide the answer and in your text include other search phrases you used to finally locate the answer.

Now if you couldn’t find the answer easily, others couldn’t either.. And by using the right title and keywords you’ll find yourself at #1 in Google.

How many times have you searched for something and not found the answer easily?

Every time this happens, it’s an opportunity for you to write an article or blog post and dominate the SERPS for that question.

Free Keyword Research Tool

Marketing guru Brad Callen just created a free keyword research tool. PPCWebSpy

Basically, you install this free software as a firefox plugin, and when you perform a Google search on any keyword, it places a “view keywords” button directly below any Adwords advertiser’s listing.

If you click the “view keywords” button, you can see the keywords AND what the Adwords advertiser is bidding on! Plus, a bunch of other very cool stats.

While the software is free, there is an upsell with a potentially very lucrative and very clever marketing technique.

Download PPC WebSpy Free!

Make sure you go there right away, because I don’t know how long this application will be free.

Keyword Research for Newbies

Chances are you are not optimizing your site with the best keywords and keyword phrases to get the most traffic to your site.

If you’re going to create a webpage, you want that webpage to contain keywords that have high search volumes on the search engines.

You also want to create backlinks using these same keyword phrases.

Your link text or Anchor Text should always be a keyword phrase, not a site title.  Not creating effective Anchor text has cost me  a ton of money over the years.  Don’t make the same mistake I did.

Example of Basic Keyword Research.

Someone wants to give Bob a link to his site.  Bob tells them to link to:

Bob’s Opportunity Website

That’s just crazy… whose going to search for that phrase?  Let’s say Bob is selling an Antioxidant opportunity.
